We built a snitch!
No, not the kind you read about in nerdy wizard books (…which we low-key love, btw).
You know when you use AI to help you with something and that nagging voice in the back of your head keeps asking “…did the robot just make this up?”
Well now you don’t have to worry quite so much. At least not around here, anyway.
Every AI-generated card in Flash My Cards now comes with a citation. See that little blue tag on your flashcard? Tap it. We’ll jump you straight to the exact spot in your source material the card came from. Right down to the paragraph (and the page, for PDFs), with the relevant text pulled up so you can check our work in about two seconds.
Uploaded a PDF? The citation opens your original document, scrolled to the right page, with the cited paragraph sitting right beside it. Pasted your notes instead? Same idea, minus the PDF. Either way your source stays exactly as you handed it to us. We don’t quietly rewrite your material and ask you to trust us. We put our interpretation next to your data and let you decide.
Okay…but why?
Why bother? Because accuracy is absolutely essential when we’re talking about serious coursework. AI hallucinations are dangerous and unforgivable when the end result could mean that you fail an exam.
So now you can confirm a card is faithful to the source, re-read the surrounding context when something refuses to click in your empty little brain-hole, and stop wondering whether the robot is bluffing.
It’s live now. Generate a deck, tap a citation, and fact-check out work. We can take it.
